Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for over a decade. Alexandra is well-known for her roles on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara born as the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16 she portrayed the lead role in several TV dramas. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film), was critically and commercially acclaimed. Other Oscar nominated film starring the diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. In the past, Alexandra has worked in several important international and national productions. These include British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historical mini-series Napoleon as well as other miniseries. She was also a juror at the Transylvania International Film Festival as and The Cannes Film Festival.
